Image is of the Power of Siberia natural gas pipeline, which transports gas from Russia to China. This isn’t an oil pipeline (such as the ESPO) but I thought it looked cool. Source here.

Trump has recently proposed a 500% tariff on goods from countries that trade with Russia, including India and China (who buy ~70% of Russia’s oil output), as well as a 10% additional tariff on goods from countries that “align themselves with BRICS.” Considering that China is the largest trading partner of most of the countries on the planet at this point, and India and Brazil are reasonably strong regional players, I’m not sure what exactly “alignment” means, but it could be pretty bad.

Sanctions and tariffs on Russian products have been difficult to achieve in practice. It’s easy to write an order to sanction Russia, but much harder to actually enforce these sorts of things because of, for example, the Russian shadow oil fleet, or countries like Kazakhstan acting as covert middlemen (well, as covert as a very sudden oil export boom can be).

Considering that China was pretty soundly victorious last time around, I’m cautiously optimistic, especially because China and India just outright cutting off their supply of energy and fuel would be catastrophic to them (and if Iran and Israel go to war again any time in the near future, it’ll only be more disastrous). Barring China and India kowtowing to Trump and copying Europe vis-a-vis Nordstream 2 (which isn’t impossible, I suppose), the question is whether China and India will appear to accede to these commands while secretly continuing trade with Russia through middlemen, or if they will be more defiant in the face of American pressure.

Trump Dismisses Musk’s Threats of New Political Party - Telesur English

    Article

The Republican politician called the idea ‘ridiculous,’ adding that it would cause confusion and chaos. U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk’s threats to form a third political party to rival Democrats and Republicans.

“I’m saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks,” Trump said and called that idea “ridiculous,” adding that it would cause confusion.

The feud between the two billionaires began in early June after Musk blasted Trump’s landmark One Big Beautiful Bill, a gargantuan tax and spending package that Trump signed into law on Friday, the Independence Day.

Musk lambasted the legislation, saying it could add trillions of U.S. dollars to the national debt. “Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom,” he said.

In response, Trump posted on social media that third parties “have never succeeded in the United States,” adding that “the one thing (they) are good for is the creation of complete and total disruption & chaos.”

In reaction to these statements, some political analysts have commented on the viability of the formation of a new partican with the capacity to become an effective third electoral option in the United States.

“Right now, Republicans have narrow margins in both chambers of Congress. If Musk were to fund primary challengers or independent general election candidates… that could cost Republicans in next year’s midterms. Building a real party, rather than a vanity project, would involve finding and running credible candidates up and down the ballot, for unglamorous offices like school board and city council,” said Christopher Galdieri, a political science professor at Saint Anselm College.

“Things like this have been tried not very long ago… The problem is that a political party needs a core idea. This venture would have to attract people younger than 45 who are already politicians on some level, and who have real political talent. If Musk were to just concentrate on knocking out specific Republican senators and members, that would be a slightly better plan than starting a new political party,” said Clay Ramsay, a researcher at the Center for International and Security Studies at the University of Maryland.

“There are lots of people who would like choices between the two major parties. Each has moved to the extremes and does not represent the broad swathe of America. He needs to find someone to lead the party who could appeal to more people,” said Darrell West, a Brookings Institution senior fellow.

Spain’s Far-Right VOX Party Calls for Mass Deportation of Immigrants - Telesur English

    Article

The third-largest force in Parliament seeks a ‘Remigration Process’ that could affect up to 8 million people. On Monday, Samuel Vazquez, president of the group “A Police Force for the 21st Century” and VOX’s spokesperson on immigration issues, described mass deportations as the “least bad” solution to rising immigration.

VOX lawmaker Rocio De Meer indicated that the party’s proposal could involve “more than 7 million” people, noting that “we must take into account the second generation.” She said many arrived in Spain in a very short period and come from diverse backgrounds, which makes it “extraordinarily difficult for them to adapt to our ways and customs.”

“All these millions of people, who came very recently and have not adapted to our customs—and in many cases have been involved in public safety incidents in our neighborhoods—will have to return to their countries,” she said.

“I did not say that 8 million must be expelled. We must expel as many as needed so that not a single Spanish family has to mourn for not having done so,” De Meer said in a post on social media.

The text, “This is what the far-right’s hate speech provokes among young people. This is VOX. In any democratic country, they would be outlawed and their leaders imprisoned.”

Santiago Abascal, president of VOX, said the party aims to expel all immigrants who commit crimes, live off others’ labor, attempt to impose a “foreign” religion, or abuse or disrespect women. VOX’s proposal includes deporting all unaccompanied minor immigrants, stating that “they need to be with their parents.”

“We don’t know how many there are. When we get into government, we will find out. And they will all leave,” the far-right leader emphasized, convinced that both Spanish citizens and legal immigrants will support the plan.

VOX’s spokesperson in Congress, Pepa Millan, said De Meer highlighted the evolution of immigration in Spain since the 1990s, and reaffirmed that the party wants it to be “legal and orderly, as well as in accordance with economic, social and cultural circumstances.”

“What VOX proposes is something already reflected in the immigration law and our legal framework,” she said, accusing the Spanish government’s open-door policy of rendering the laws “meaningless.”

Miguel Tellado, secretary of the conservative Popular Party, however, made it clear that his party does not support VOX’s proposal for mass expulsions of undocumented immigrants.

“There are mechanisms for regularization for all those who have come to Spain and have already been living with us for some time. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t fight against irregular immigration, which is indeed a problem,” he said.

United States to Send More Weapons to Ukraine - Telesur English

    Article

Washington is expected to send interceptors for Patriot systems, precision artillery shells, and air-to-surface missiles. On Monday, President Donald Trump said he will send more weapons to Ukraine to help the country defend itself against Russia, following a temporary pause in some shipments due to a routine review by the Pentagon.

“We have to send more weapons. We must do it so they can defend themselves. They’re being attacked very hard,” Trump told reporters during a dinner at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The U.S. president specified that the weapons will be “mostly defensive.” He also expressed frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin over his refusal to agree to a ceasefire and stop bombing Ukraine.

“I’m not at all happy with President Putin,” Trump said, echoing similar comments he made last week. “I stop wars, and I hate to see people dying,” the Republican president added.

Earlier Monday, the White House said the suspension of certain arms shipments to Ukraine, announced last week, is temporary and part of a routine review of the U.S. military assistance program for foreign allies. Among the weapons that Washington could send to Ukraine are interceptors for Patriot air defense systems, precision artillery shells, and air-to-surface missiles for U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets.

On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that, following a phone call with Trump, the two agreed to work together to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities. Ukraine hopes Trump’s pledge to unblock the weapons shipments will be implemented as soon as possible.

“Every day of delays raises the cost — for all of us,” said Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who is the Ukrainian official with the most direct contact with the Trump administration. She also called on NATO allies to help Ukraine build integrated air defense systems and boost joint arms production efforts.

Mexico Investigates Former President Peña Nieto Over Pegasus Spyware - Telesur English

    Article

The Marker alleges that Peña Nieto received US$25 million in bribes to authorize the use of the Israeli spyware system. On Tuesday, Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) announced the launch of an investigation into former President Enrique Peña Nieto, a conservative politician who led the country from 2012 to 2018.

The probe was triggered by a report published by the Israeli outlet The Marker, which alleged that Peña Nieto received US$25 million in bribes to authorize the use of the Israeli spyware system Pegasus on Mexican soil.

“We have already opened a case file, of course, and we will request from the Israeli authorities the information that was made public so we can formally incorporate it and move forward,” said FGR Director Alejandro Gertz.

During the administration of current President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (2018–2024), the FGR received several complaints regarding the Pegasus software, but these were not substantiated with sufficient evidence.

“What we are doing now is formally asking the Israeli government, through the international legal assistance system, for authorization so that these claims can be framed within a legal context and not fall into the same void as unsupported complaints,” Gertz added.

According to The Marker, the most high-profile deal negotiated by Pegasus sales agents was the sale of the spyware, developed by Israeli cyber-intelligence firm NSO Group, to several Mexican institutions. These included the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), the now-defunct Attorney General’s Office (PGR), and the Center for Investigation and National Security (CISEN).

On Monday, Peña Nieto dismissed The Marker’s report as “false and malicious,” claiming he never held a position that made him responsible for authorizing such contracts. He also stated that Pegasus was not used for spying during his administration, but rather as a tool to “strengthen intelligence capabilities, create security conditions, and fight organized crime.”

In 2021, however, an international media investigation revealed that several countries used Pegasus to target 50,000 phones, including 15,000 in Mexico during Peña Nieto’s administration. The probe found that communications belonging to activists, journalists, then-opposition leader Lopez Obrador, and his aides were intercepted. The Israeli software was also used to monitor the families of the 43 students who disappeared in Ayotzinapa.

Perpetrator of Assassination Attempt on Slovak PM Fico Refuses to Testify - Telesur English

    Article

In 2024, Juraj Cintula, a 72-year-old retired man, fired five shots at Fico, causing serious injuries to his abdomen and hip. On Tuesday, Juraj Cintula, the man who shot Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in 2024, refused to testify as his trial began at the Specialized Criminal Court in Banska Bystrica.

Though he declined to speak, Cintula expressed disagreement with the reclassification of the charges against him. What was initially classified as premeditated attempted murder of a protected person has now been elevated to terrorism.

Prior to the trial’s opening, the defense unsuccessfully attempted to reach a plea deal with prosecutors, proposing a 12-year prison sentence. However, the prosecution maintained that no such agreement was possible due to the severity of the charges.

Cintula, a 72-year-old retired man, fired five shots at Fico, causing serious injuries to the prime minister’s abdomen and hip, including damage to the large intestine and soft tissue of the bladder.

The attack took place May 15, 2024, as Fico was leaving a Cabinet meeting in the town of Handlova. He was approaching a group of citizens gathered in front of the House of Culture when the shooter opened fire.

The text reads, “This Tuesday begins the trial of Juraj Cintula, a 72-year-old leftist who shot Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in May 2024. The man, who claims to have no regrets, faces life in prison.”

During the trial, the court heard a recording of Fico’s statement, along with testimony from journalists who filmed the incident, additional eyewitnesses, and medical and psychological experts. “Long live free culture, long live democracy,” Cintula shouted upon arriving at the courthouse.

If convicted, he faces a sentence ranging from 25 years to life in prison. The proceedings, held under tight security, are considered among the most significant in the recent history of the Central European country of 5.5 million people. The case file includes more than 6,200 pages spread across 18 volumes. Cintula is being tried alone, as he acted without accomplices.

While Cintula’s role in the attack is not in question, his motivation is expected to become one of the trial’s key issues. He used phrases similar to those voiced by opposition parties during protests held before the shooting, prompting the government to accuse the political opposition of paving the way for the attack by creating a “climate of hate” and fostering polarization.

The opposition, for its part, blames Fico for the country’s political division and criticizes his combative rhetoric. The trial is set to resume Wednesday.

According to Al-Mayadeen, Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa (formerly Abu Muhammad Al-Jolani) has accepted to give up the Golan Heights in exchange for normalization with Israel. Additionally, as part of the normalization agreement, buffer zones will be established in Southern Syria, including in Al-Quneitra, As-Suwayda, and Daraa.

Within these zones, all heavy weapons and equipment belonging to the HTS-led Syrian Army will be evacuated, and Syrian Army and Police units stationed in these regions will only be permitted to carry light weaponry. These demands were conveyed by Israel during confidential meeting with Syria in the past few weeks. A Syrian businessman, acting on behalf of President Al-Sharaa, reportedly came to the Knesset today and conveyed Syria’s acceptance.

Obesity, Illness, and Mortality on the Rise Among U.S. Children - Telesur English

    Article

Between 2007 and 2022, a child in the U.S. was about 1.8 times more likely to die than peers abroad. U.S. children today weigh more, battle more illnesses and face higher odds of dying than youngsters just a generation ago, according to the most extensive review of pediatric well-being published in nearly two decades.

The study, released Monday in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), tracked 170 separate health indicators drawn from eight national data sets that stretched back to 2002.

“All of them point in the same direction: children’s health is getting worse,” lead author Christopher Forrest of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia said.

Researchers found that obesity among 2-19-year-olds climbed from 17 percent in the 2007-2008 survey cycle to about 21 percent in the 2021-2023 cycle.

Electronic medical records covering more than 1 million young patients showed that diagnoses of at least one chronic condition, such as anxiety, depression, or sleep apnea, rose from roughly 40 percent in 2011 to 46 percent in 2023. A separate parent survey recorded a 15-20 percent jump in the risk of any chronic illness since 2011.

Mortality statistics drew an even starker contrast with other wealthy nations. The JAMA editorial noted that this survival gap left the United States at the bottom of child health rankings among advanced economies, including Canada, Germany and Japan.

Between 2007 and 2022, a child in the United States was about 1.8 times more likely to die than peers abroad, the study reported. Premature birth and sudden unexpected infant death dominated the figures for babies, while firearm injuries and road crashes took the heaviest toll on children and teenagers.

Warning signs emerged in mental health as well. Rates of depressive symptoms, loneliness, difficulty sleeping and limits on physical activity all climbed during the study period. “Kids are the canaries in the coal mine; they absorb social stress earlier and more intensely than adults,” Forrest said.

In a linked editorial, pediatricians Frederick Rivara and Avital Nathanson argued that protecting children will require stronger injury prevention, maternal health and vaccination programs and a concerted attack on the social conditions that undermine young lives.

They cautioned that cutting public health budgets, delaying infrastructure fixes or fanning anti-vaccine sentiment would move the country “in the wrong direction.”

The authors did not blame a single cause for the downturn. Instead, they pointed to the combined impact of diets packed with ultra-processed food, patchy access to medical care, unsafe neighborhoods and widening economic inequality. Forrest urged “neighborhood-by-neighborhood action plans that treat children’s health as a community responsibility.”

Although the United States spends more per person on healthcare than any other nation, the study concluded that reversing the slide would demand investments far beyond clinics, into schools, housing, transport, and social services, before today’s warning signs become tomorrow’s adult crises.

A second ship has been sunk by Yemen for attempting bypass their blessed blockade of zionazi ports!

    spoiler

    https://english.masirahtv.net/post/48996/

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Armed Forces clarified that the Naval Forces targeted the Eternity C ship using a drone boat and six cruise and ballistic missiles, which led to the total sinking of the vessel. The operation was documented in both audio and video.

The statement added that following the operation, a unit of special forces from the Navy moved in to rescue several members of the ship’s crew, providing them with medical care and transporting them to a safe location.

It confirmed that the targeting of the aforementioned ship came after the company owning it, along with the vessel itself, resumed operations with the Port of Umm al-Rashrash — in clear violation of the ban on dealings with that port. It also followed the ship’s refusal to heed warnings and calls from the Yemeni Naval Forces.

(Image is of the sinking of the first ship, Magic Seas. A full video can be viewed here. Its awesome.)

Brazil extends investigation of Bolsonaro’s son in the U.S. - Prensa Latina

    Article

Brasilia, Jul 9 (Prensa Latina) Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court (STF), extended for 60 more days the investigation that hangs today on the activities of Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, in the United States.

The Federal Police (PF) requested the moratorium on day 3. In his decision, De Moraes considered the need to continue the investigations and due diligence still pending.

The judge opened the inquiry on May 26 at the request of the Attorney General’s Office.

According to Attorney General Paulo Gonet, Bolsonaro’s scion could have committed the crimes of coercion, obstruction of investigation and violent abolition of the rule of law.

For Gonet, the lawmaker would be acting from the northern country to unduly influence decisions of the Supreme, especially in cases involving his father.

De Moraes also ordered the PF to monitor and preserve the content posted by the deputy on social networks related to possible crimes.

Eduardo Bolsonaro announced on March 18 that he would take a leave of absence from his mandate and remain in the United States to “seek just punishment” for De Moraes.

When he announced to step aside, he claimed that the magistrate was using his office as an instrument of “blackmail and coercion” and his intention was to fight for justice for those involved in the anti-democratic acts of January 8, 2023 when an uprising was attempted after the electoral victory of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Publicly and repeatedly, Eduardo Bolsonaro stressed that he “will only return to Brazil when Minister Alexandre de Moraes is sanctioned by the United States.”

The statement was backed up by meetings with U.S. legislators.

When he announced to step aside, he stated that the magistrate was using his office as an instrument of “blackmail and coercion” and his intention was to fight for justice for those involved in the anti-democratic acts of January 8, 2023 when an uprising was attempted after the electoral victory of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Publicly and repeatedly, Eduardo Bolsonaro stressed that he “will only return to Brazil when Minister Alexandre de Moraes is sanctioned by the United States.”

The statement was backed up by meetings with U.S. legislators such as Senator Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, and Representative Cory Mills.

The declared objective of the trip of the congressman is to promote sanctions against De Moraes, whom he accuses of violations to freedom of expression and of acting in an authoritarian manner from the Supreme Court.

Rubio confirmed that his government is considering imposing corrective measures against the STF minister, based on the Global Magnitsky Act, legislation that allows the U.S. Executive to freeze assets, block assets and deny visas to people accused of serious human rights violations or significant corruption.

Such statement was celebrated by Eduardo Bolsonaro on social networks.

On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump defended Bolsonaro Sr. on digital platforms.

He claimed that Brazil is committing a “horrible act” in its treatment of the ultra-right former president, accused of coup plotting and who is allegedly being persecuted.

The deputy son applauded Trump’s assertion and affirmed that “this will not be the only news coming from the United States”.

Brazilian Prosecutor’s Office to act after U.S. court subpoenas Supreme Court Justice - Prensa Latina

    Article

Brasilia, Jul 9 (Prensa Latina) The Office of the Attorney General of the Union (AGU, Attorney General’s Office) of Brazil announced that it is preparing today to act in the case of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court, summoned again by a U.S. court.

De Moraes was summoned by the District Court of Florida in a lawsuit filed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s social media company and Rumble, a Canadian digital platform, both of which are banned in the South American giant.

The judge argued in February that Rumble committed “repeated, conscious and willful contempt of court orders” and disobeyed the Brazilian judiciary.

Now, the magistrate has 21 days to respond or he could receive a default judgment from the U.S. court. The AGU indicated in a statement that it is preparing drafts of legal intervention on behalf of Brazil, in case it decides to act at any time.

According to the assessment of U.S. prosecutors assisting the AGU in monitoring the case, the companies should request the subpoena through central authorities responsible for international legal cooperation,

However, to date, there has been no decision from the Florida court, in which the case is being heard, ordering a subpoena to the Supreme Court counsel.

Rumble and Trump Media filed a petition with the Florida court in February, accusing De Moraes of disrespecting the sovereignty of the United States.

The lawsuit, made public on the 19th of that month, alleges that the minister violated U.S. laws by ordering the blocking of the account of blogger Allan dos Santos, a fugitive and the subject of an arrest warrant for spreading disinformation and attacking members of the Supreme Court.

An extradition request filed by Brazil was denied by Washington in March 2023.

On February 9, Rumble received notification of the court decision ordering the blocking of the content creator’s profile, under penalty of a daily fine of 50 thousand reais (just over nine thousand dollars) in case of non-compliance.

Invoking the impossibility of complying with this type of order, the company notified the Supreme Court on the 17th that it was waiving its representation in the lawsuits related to the platform.

Trump Media joined the request arguing that it is also affected by the restrictions imposed on Rumble, as the company provides services essential to the operation of Truth Social, the Republican president’s social network.

Similar to YouTube, both in functionality and visual aspect, Rumble was created in 2013 and does not use filtering algorithms on published content, going in the opposite direction of social networks that seek to inhibit hate speech and protect rights.

Police removed miners camped in front of the Peruvian Parliament - Prensa Latina

    Article

Lima, Jul 9 (Prensa Latina) A large police contingent today forced the withdrawal of hundreds of informal miners camped in front of the Legislative Palace to demand a law to replace the government decree that bans 50,000 of them.

At the same time, the protest continues with at least six blockades in the southern regions of Ica, Arequipa and Cusco and the northern region of La Libertad, and the leaders of the movement called to intensify the road closures.

According to the official report, there was no violence in the operation to remove the miners who remained there waiting for their request to be attended to and for the first step to be taken, the initial parliamentary approval in the Energy and Mines Congressional Commission.

The legislative working group, however, last night rejected a bill by leftist legislators that proposed to replace the law approved years ago for the formalization of the miners, which was achieved only by a small minority.

The opposition bill proposed to extend once again until the end of 2026 the deadline for formalization, which according to the recent decree will end at the end of the year, and to modify the procedures to make them more viable.

The complexity of the issue includes armed crime in illegal mining areas in the Amazonian region of Madre de Dios and the Andean region of Pataz, human trafficking and the use of polluting substances in gold mining.

The social nature of the problem was pointed out by one of the blockaders on the outskirts of the southern town of Ocoña, arguing that expelling from the activity 50 thousand people prevented from formalizing will generate millions of unemployed people who, directly or indirectly, depend on informal mining,

The Vice Minister of Energy, Ronald Ibarra, declared that the 50 thousand excluded have not accredited their presence in the operation zones and only 31 thousand who started the formalization process will be able to work.

For opposition congressmen, such as Guido Bellido, the problem is essentially social, in addition to the fact that hundreds of thousands of hectares of mining concessions are monopolized by large companies, which only exploit 2.5 percent of these territories.

Informal and aresanal miners operate on the idle lands of these concessions, which belong to the State, which has authorized the operations of the large mining companies.

Bellido criticized the Minister of Energy and Mines, Jorge Luis Montero, for ignoring that these lands belong to the State and claiming that miners are invading the properties of formal companies.

Máximo Franco, leader of the National Confederation of Small and Artisanal Mining, stated that the Government should cancel the concession of lands not exploited by the companies and award them to informal and artisanal miners.

U.S. with obstacles to resolve Russian-Ukrainian conflict, warns Russia - Prensa Latina

    Article

Moscow, Jul 9 (Prensa Latina) Russia’s presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said today that his country had warned the United States from the beginning that it was impossible to resolve the Ukrainian conflict overnight.

With this statement the Kremlin spokesman reacted to the recent statements of US President Donald Trump, in which he admitted that the differences between Moscow and Kiev were more difficult to resolve than he expected.

In this context, the head of the Eurasian giant’s Presidential Press Office asserted that his government is quite calm with the “hardening of rhetoric” against the Slavic nation by the White House tenant.

“Trump in general has a rather harsh style in the phrases he uses,” Peskov assured, commenting on the US leader’s words in which he accused his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, of throwing “a lot of shit” at them.

However, the official expressed hope that Washington will continue efforts to resolve the differences between Moscow and Kiev through diplomatic channels.

“We also hope that despite all the decisions on the resumption of arms supplies and so on, although no one has actually stopped any supplies, but even despite this, we still hope that Trump and his team will continue efforts to bring the process of resolving the Ukrainian conflict to a political and diplomatic level,” he said.

On the other hand, Peskov asserted that Russia is waiting for a proposed date for the third round of negotiations from the Ukrainians.

This should interest Ukraine, because the situation on the ground changes on a daily basis. “We are moving forward every new day, the Ukrainian side will have to agree with the new realities,” the spokesman referred.

The day before, the US head of state expressed his disappointment with his Russian counterpart. “Putin throws a lot of shit at us. If you want to know the truth, he’s very nice all the time, but it turns out he has no relevance,” Trump indicated.

In this regard, he stated that he is “strongly” looking to introduce new sanctions against Moscow.

Along these lines, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said on Wednesday that the stance demonstrated by the American dignitary exemplifies how they use unilateral measures as political pressure.

“This speech once again confirms that the United States continues to use economic-trade tools, whether illegitimate sanctions, tariffs, whatever, as an element of political pressure and hides behind the slogans of honest competition and national security,” the diplomat said.

The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said that Washington’s attitude demonstrates its destructive approach to the current architecture of international economic cooperation and violates the rules of the World Trade Organization.
