It was the opposite in SLC, fireworks were going off all over for a good 5-6 hours. I surmised everyone was just lighting off all the stock they had since tariffs and drones are going to make them more expensive and dangerous than they’re worth.
Still got a pile of bottle rockets and Roman candles in the closet but lately I feel more like pointing them at masked white dudes than doing anything to celebrate America
The Fireworks were more subdued this year where I live.
I don’t know if it was because people are ashamed of what we’ve become or that the tarrifs have put people in a pinch. Or both.

Fireworks are damned expensive. We didn’t buy any this year because I’m not about to spend $200 to shoot off five fountains.
I bought $200 worth of fireworks 20-ish years ago and have never used them. its like 50 mortars and a fuckton of firecrackers.
honestly, I never used them because I lost faith in my country back then. anything I feel for my country now resembles a dried up desiccated corpse.
