I’m so tired of people blaming the NWS for this.

Yeah one of the dipshits in charge is quoted in almost every article I’ve seen saying they didn’t have proper warning, but you can just search the NWS San Antonio twitter or the spc noaa website to see that warnings for an intial forecast of at least 5-7in of rainfall were issued July 3rd in the afternoon, with continuous updates and warnings issued all through the night as they monitored the storm. They did the best they could.
Same shit happens during hurricanes in the South. Fucking dumbfucks say stuff like “they’re just trying to scare you for the ratings” when alerts get issued through the news then when their town and life gets destroyed turn around and do the victim complex shit.
Effectively theres a good chunk of Americans that do not believe in extreme weather until the moment it actually hits them
