    I wonder how the amount of death threats government officials receive has changed over the years. I wouldn’t be surprised if it has been going up.

      It’s become so much easier. You can do it in a minute from the toilet, before you had to buy postage.

        Although I think a death threat through post is much more threatening than online. It’s easy to find an email or even phone number online, a little harder to find someone’s home address, and shows that the person might be more serious about it.

        So while the amount of death threats may have risen, I’m not sure if the amount of credible death threats has changed as much.

      Absolutely no doubt it has gone up.

      Especially among women, I would think, where extreme misogyny and online hate and harassment campaigns target them without any fear or consequence.
