Image is of the damage caused by an Iranian Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile in Israel, causing dozens of injuries.

Now in our second week of the conflict, we have seen continuing damage to both Israel and Iran, as well as direct US intervention which nonetheless seems to have caused limited damage to Fordow and little damage to Iran’s nuclear program. Regime change seems more elusive than ever, as even Iranians previously critical of the government now rally around it as they are attacked by two rabid imperialists at once. And Iran’s government is tentatively considering a withdrawal, or at minimum a reconsideration, of their membership to the IAEA and the NPT. And, of course, the Strait of Hormuz is still a tool in their arsenal.

A day or so on from the strike on Fordow, we have so far seen basically no change in strategy from the Iranian military as they continue to strike Israel with small barrages of missiles. Military analysts argue furiously - is this a deliberate strategy of steady attrition on Israel, or indicative of immense material constraints on Iran? Are the hits by Israel on real targets, or are they decoys? Does Iran wish to develop a nuke, or are they still hesitating? Will Iran and Yemen strike at US warships and bases in response to the attack, or will they merely continue striking only Israel?

And perhaps most importantly - will this conflict end diplomatically due to a lack of appetite for an extended war (to wit: not a peace but a 20 year armistice) or with Israel forced into major concessions including an end to their genocide? Or even with a total military/societal collapse of either side?

The 5% GDP military spending thing is really insane, probably just trump doing his classic hard-sell tactic again, because at that point you’re really just spending money for spending money’s sake.

Just note that when Portugal was fighting a 3 front colonial war its military spending peaked at 4.5% in 1968

    Important Statement

🇮🇷 Issued by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)

    spoiler

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

There is no power and no strength except through Allah, the Most High, the Most Great

To the brave and heroic Iranian people, and to the honored families of the martyrs:

Your sons and servants in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, following the aggression launched by the Zionist army on our skies and its initiation of an imposed war on Islamic Iran—and in response to the call of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and with the support of the Iranian people—designed and executed a series of operations under the title “Truthful Promise 3”, conducted in 22 intense, continuous, and multi-layered waves. These operations targeted a diverse and expansive bank of military objectives belonging to the enemy in the occupied lands of Al-Quds, once again proving that the brave soldiers of this nation never leave any aggression unanswered. With their reliance on Allah, their high determination, and their powerful blows, they shattered and mocked the foolish illusion that Iran could ever surrender.

We honor the martyrs of this imposed war and salute their pure souls. In the epic of sacred defense that lasted 12 days, martyr commanders such as Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri, Lieutenant General Gholam Ali Rashid, Lieutenant General Hossein Salami, Lieutenant General Ali Shadmani, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, along with other martyred commanders, martyred scholars, and our civilian martyrs—women and children—became shining suns and beacons of guidance on this battlefield. They proved that martyrdom in defense of the homeland and the Islamic Revolution is the path and ultimate end of every true servant of Allah.

We express our sincere appreciation and respect to the Iranian people—especially the esteemed families of the martyrs—to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (may his shadow endure), to the Grand Religious Authorities, scholars, the heads of the three branches of power—especially the president and members of the esteemed government—academic elites, the diplomatic corps, national media, virtual space activists, political parties, and medical and relief teams. All these groups stood alongside the Armed Forces and etched their presence in the pages of bright history.

The Iranian people, continuing the values of the eight-year Sacred Defense, offered in this victorious historical confrontation a radiant image of national dignity, the spirit of resistance, and internal cohesion to the world. The result of this unity and effort was a living embodiment of a powerful Iran and a decisive rejection of the calculations of global arrogance against the Iranian people and the sacred Islamic Republic.

The calm, wisdom, and steadfastness shown by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution from the very first day of this imposed war in mobilizing a nationwide stance against the aggressors represented a growing asset that emphasized the unique role of Imamate in unifying the Islamic system and reminded us all of its value. With such a great nation and under the leadership of such a noble guide, the sons of the Armed Forces gain the courage to embark on a civilization-making historic battle.

The IRGC finds itself unable to fully describe and do justice to the sincere, unique, and historic sacrifices of the Armed Forces—especially the valiant fighters of the Aerospace Force, the missile units, the brave Basij, the anonymous heroes in intelligence, and the defenders in the air defense units. For these sacrifices and these fighters, martyrdom remains the only true recompense.

Among the most prominent achievements in this phase of punishing the aggressors, and clear indicators of the misery of the Zionist terrorist killers and their bloodthirsty backers, are the following:

    • Reinforcement of national unity
    • Increase in social capital
    • Deepening trust in the Armed Forces
    • Strengthening the spirit of self-reliance
    • Exposure and dismantling of internal sabotage networks
    • Elevation of Iran’s status in the hearts of the Islamic Ummah
    • Gaining international support for the justice of the Islamic Republic’s cause and condemnation of the Zionist army’s aggression
    • Collapse of the illusion of regime change in Iran
    • Preservation of the pillars of power in the nuclear program
    • Protection of defensive and missile infrastructure
    • Destruction of the enemy’s multi-layered and costly air defense myth
    • Deepening the crisis of the entity’s survival in occupied lands
    • Discrediting the myth of the “invincible Zionist army”
    • Reviving hope in oppressed peoples to continue resisting global arrogance

The entry of the already-defeated, criminal American army into the battlefield to rescue the pitiful soldiers of the Zionist army failed to shift the battlefield dynamics or undermine Iran’s upper hand. The retaliatory missile strike on the American Al-Udeid base in Qatar, as part of Operation “Glad Tidings of Victory”, delivered a fresh message of Iran’s strength—and the enemies understood that message clearly.

It is worth emphasizing that the initiator of the imposed war was the Zionist terrorist army. Yet its end was penned by the valiant sons of the people in the Armed Forces—particularly the IRGC Aerospace Force—in the 22nd wave of Operation “Truthful Promise 3”, whose final strike was so devastating that the “cries for a ceasefire” erupted from the throats of the savage Zionist regime and the delusional president of America.

Once again, relying on Allah Almighty, we pledge to the heroic Iranian people and the noble families of the martyrs that we shall never tire nor falter in pursuing the two fixed and strategic goals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps:

    1. The expulsion of occupying America from the region 2. The destruction of the Zionist child-killing entity

True peace and stability in the region depend on the fulfillment of these two blessed objectives. We will not loosen our grip on the enemy’s neck—and we will continue to punish it without pause.

“And victory is only from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.” — Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps June 26, 2025

Prisons Business Center in Estonia wants to open an e-shop to sell items made by inmates

The Prisons Business Center is preparing to launch an online store to market handicrafts and custom-made products created by inmates. To streamline the process, they are asking the Ministry of Justice to allow them to enter into smaller contracts without the need for public procurement procedures.

The Prisons Business Center is seeking to open an online store to market handicrafts and custom-made products. In a letter sent to the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs, Tallinn Prison noted that there are already examples of good practice — under the Stoveman brand, quality metal products made by inmates are currently being sold.

Aaro Nursi, a member of the Tallinn Prison Commission, informed the ministry that prisons — particularly the Prisons Business Center — need more flexible conditions for finding partners. This would help increase inmate employment and better utilize prison production capacity.

“Current public procurement procedures limit Tallinn Prison’s ability to respond quickly to smaller orders and to collaborate with local businesses and municipalities,” Nursi said.

He pointed out that, for example, laundry and sewing services could be used more frequently by state institutions, but there are no clear guidelines for allowing internal transactions. Smaller or seasonal orders are often missed because potential partners lack the resources to participate in procurement procedures.

Additionally, prisons cover all production costs themselves — from materials to equipment — and therefore need steady and flexible orders to operate production in a sustainable and cost-effective way.

As a result, the Tallinn Prison Commission proposed that small-scale direct contracts be allowed without the standard public procurement process. They also suggested clarifying the rules for internal transactions between state agencies in order to encourage the purchase of services from prisons.

The prison commission also called on the Ministry of Justice to support the marketing and e-commerce development of prisons, including online sales, and to involve inmates in pilot projects aimed at testing more flexible cooperation models.

“We believe this would increase inmate engagement, support reintegration into society and make prisons more visible and trustworthy partners,” Nursi said, asking the ministry to initiate discussions on changing public procurement regulations.

The Ministry of Justice, however, was in no hurry to commit. Deputy Secretary General Rait Kuuse responded to Nursi that the proposal would be taken into account in planning the future activities and direction of the Prisons Business Center, but the ministry currently has no plans to amend procurement regulations.

“The purpose of creating the business center was to boost inmate employment and production capacity — goals that align with the strategic aims of the prison service. Today, we can say the business center has been successful in increasing employment and has launched several new cooperation projects with various partners,” Kuuse noted.

The Prisons Business Center was established last year, replacing the former state-owned company AS Eesti Vanglatööstus, and operates across all three of Estonia’s prisons.

At Tallinn Prison, inmates produce textiles, metal and wood products; the facility also operates an industrial-scale laundry and handles product assembly and packaging. Examples of inmate-made goods include fireplaces, outdoor grills, fireplace accessories, sauna stoves, metal structures and a variety of custom wood products.

Viru Prison’s laundry offers a full range of laundry services. It also produces sauna stoves sold under the Stoveman brand and performs various woodworking tasks.

Tartu Prison provides shot blasting and powder coating services.

The White House has released a video of Trump’s visit to the NATO summit in The Hague accompanied by the song Hey Daddy. The footage is accompanied by the caption “Daddy’s home” - “daddy is back” or “daddy is home”.

Let us recall that at the summit, Secretary General Rutte called Trump “daddy”. Although he later stated that he was misunderstood. “I didn’t call him ‘daddy’. I just said that sometimes in Europe I hear some countries asking: ‘Hey Mark, will the US stay with us?’ And I said that it sounds a bit like a little kid asking his daddy: ‘Hey, are you still staying with your family?’ So in that sense I used the word ‘daddy’ - not that I called President Trump daddy,” Rutte said.

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, addressed the nation:

    – I offer my congratulations to the great nation of Iran; first, congratulations on the victory over the fake Zionist regime, and secondly, the victory over the American regime.

    – The Americans entered the war directly because Israel would have completely lost and become hopeless otherwise.

    – The U.S. gained nothing from this intervention, Trump greatly exaggerated what happened, and our nuclear sites remain unaffected.

    – The enemies don’t seek an end to Iran’s missile or nuclear program, they seek an unconditional surrender, which our powerful nation will never accept.

    – The U.S. needed to put on a show, and that’s what they did. But Iran remains steadfast, and our progress continues.

Something I missed yesterday, to do with this, the entombment of underground nuclear facilities in Iran. Israeli public broadcaster Kan News is now reporting that there is an unofficial agreement/understanding that Iran can’t excavate their underground nuclear facilities, otherwise they’ll face US military action. The facilities have to remain entombed, at least for now. Israeli state media source so of course remain highly skeptical, but it does line up with the events of the past few days. It also shows that Israel at the very least is pushing hard to keep these facilities entombed. The only thing Iran have done so far is fill up the two craters at Natanz from the two GBU-57 MOP strikes there with lots of soil. Good idea to prevent any potential radiation leakage.

The US warned Iran to stay away from nuclear sites bombed in recent strikes, to prevent Tehran from recovering enriched uranium possibly buried beneath the rubble.

American and Israeli intelligence are closely monitoring the Fordow and Isfahan facilities, where uranium stockpiles may have been stored prior to the attacks, Kan News reports.

A senior Israeli official told Kan that if Iran attempts to extract the uranium, “it’s up to the US” to decide how to respond.

English translation of the Kan News report

Finland news: Business lobby proposes cutting public holidays to fund defence spending

The bougies want to make the public holidays of Ephiphany day and Ascension day always be on a weekend, in order to leech more capital from the working class under the convenient guise of paying for NATO’s defence demands. EK, the main finance ghoul lobby in finland, has also been pushing for fewer public holidays for ages, but literally no one has supported it. Now they finally have a crisis to exploit. Personally I think this is likely to go through with little resistance, because, you know, the russians. The unions and the left party might release a strongly worded letter or two, but likely do nothing about it, since they broadly support NATO’s extortion.

For context, Epiphany and Ascension can fall on a weekday (which is obviously based), for example this year epiphany fell on a monday (3 day weekend lfg) and ascension on a thursday (take friday off = 4 day weekend lfg). Idk and idgaf what the original meaning of the holiday is, a free day is a free day.

How do you say finland in maoist standard english btw? I can’t figure it out.

Does anyone know Mamandi’s stance on gun rights? Is he leftist when it comes that too or just another lib? Right now NYC is has one of the strictest gun laws, where you need to go to the pigs office to apply for an expensive permit which could take up to a year just to be able to walk into a gun store and purchase a gun. Also you need permission from the pigs for every gun you purchase, and the permits for handguns and rifles are different, so you would need them both, plus the permission slips for each gun you own.
