What is their argument against GMOs?
Some dumb stuff probably. I hate how often anti-scientifical our community is.
I’m pro-GMOs. I’m not sure what their argument is.
Just a guess but some people differentiate between GMO from selective breeding versus lab-modified products. Don’t quote me on this though.
I guess most GMOs are transgenic and have genetic contributions from nonhuman animals.
I’m way out of my depth here but 5 minutes on encyclopaedia Britannica tells me that gmo cotton, corn, soy bean etc has something from a bacteria implanted. So I’m guessing that’s why vegan farming dodges those chimeras.
We’re allowed to exploit bacteria.
Let us also not forget the importance of syntropic agriculture practices for sustainability. Tree-based food production is the most effective way to achieve “a healthy, diverse ecosystem” on the veganic farm.
