Wow, is this cycle doing some interesting things. I’ve never really much cared one way or the other about Schwarzenegger, but this impressed me, as it meets me where I am:
“I will always be an American before I am a Republican,” he wrote. “That’s why, this week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I’m sharing it with all of you because I think there are a lot of you who feel like I do. You don’t recognise our country. And you are right to be furious.”
- Democrats are the new Republicans now that the Republicans have been entirely consumed by the fascist ideology of Trump and Musk. - And they have the neoliberal policies to match!
- The tent is getting bigger.

- Added context for anyone who isn’t aware, Schwarzenegger was the Republican governor of California from 2003 to 2011. - Adding context to context, there was a movement to change the constitution to allow him to run for president around then too - And I think he may have even said to not change it for him. I could be wrong though. - Yeah because that’s a great loophole for foreign governments to install a puppet president in our country. At least currently it is a little harder. - Well, more expensive. Difficulty is roughly the same.

- He emphatically said no to that movement. Dude seems to like the Constitution or something. - Nothing wrong with changing the constitution, as long as people do what’s required. - You’re not getting that through 35 states. There’s the Congressional problem, too. He seems to understand the process and thought it would be a waste of time.

- That is my recollection as well

- The Governator has spoken - He won it in a Total Recall. - In Demolition man, they passed the 61st Amendment to allow him to be president. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_Opportunity_to_Govern_Amendment#In_popular_culture - OK, so now can we get an explanation for the three seashells? - Be well.
