It wasn’t meant as a personal attack. Claiming that Netanyahu intentionally allowed 1200 Israelis to be butchered to so he can justify going to war is some seriously irrational conspiracy shit. That being said, I fully agree that he has handled the war the way he has partly to further his own political agenda. And there was a time when I had serious concerns about it and wondered if Israel was headed down the right path. But given the remarkable successes of the past two months, it looks like it was indeed the right path.

You’re going to look at the tens of thousands of corpses of slaughtered civilians in Palestine and Lebanon and call it a remarkable success? Does the sanctity of human life truly mean that little to you? You seemed to be pretty upset about reports of Israeli civilians being massacred. Is it because the Palestinians and Lebanese are not white that you care so little about them and their welfare? And you have the gall to call me mentally ill?

        They have basically destroyed Hamas.

They are kicking the crap out of Hezbollah.

The Iranian regime is significantly weakened.

Some of the world’s most barbaric terror leaders have been eliminated. Nasrallah is dead. Sinwar is dead.

Remarkable successes. Unfortunately some civilians have paid the price, but that’s what happens in war.

Hamas has highlighted the huge security flaws in the Israeli’s defenses, shown how weak and vulnerable they are, made the IDF soldiers look like a joke, brought the plight of the Palestinians to the front of world headlines, and made the Israeli’s feel vulnerable in their own homes.

Remarkable successes. Unfortunately some civilians have paid the price, but that’s what happens in war.

          How does that sound?

You’re a three week old account and all you’ve been doing is spewing hateful rhetoric to justify one of the most brutal conflicts in modern history. It’s quite clear you’ve been raised in an environment to accept that what Israel is doing is just or even noble without a second thought because you never had someone actually challenge the concept. Take a moment and read why people are denouncing Israel’s actions, figure out where they are coming from, and learn from it. I’ve been incredibly patient with you given how casually and cruelly you dismiss this suffering of others that are not part of your race. I’m leaving you some links I stole from another user that has a good breakdown of where people like myself are coming from. If you care, give it a look. If not, then don’t. Just don’t expect people to sympathize with you when you spout the kind of hateful and cruel rhetoric you’ve been doing.

Intentionally utilizing the presence of civilians or other protected persons to render certain areas immune from military attack is prohibited under international law. Amnesty International was not able to establish whether or not the fighters’ presence in the camps was intended to shield themselves from military attacks. However, under international humanitarian law, even if one party uses “human shields”, or is otherwise unlawfully endangering civilians, this does not absolve the opposing party from complying with its obligations to distinguish between military objectives and civilians or civilian objects, to refrain from carrying out indiscriminate or disproportionate attacks, and to take all feasible precautions to spare civilians and civilian objects.

Additionally, there is extensive independent verification of Israel using Palestinians as Human Shields:

                  Deliberate Attacks on Civilians

Israel deliberately targets civilian areas. From in general with the Dahiya Doctrine to multiple systems deployed in Gaza to do so:

Israel also targets Israeli Soldiers and Civilians to prevent them being leveraged as hostages, known as the Hannibal Directive. Which was also used on Oct 7th.

                  Starvation

Prior to the current hostilities, 1.2 million of Gaza’s 2.2 million people were estimated to be facing acute food insecurity, and over 80 percent were reliant on humanitarian aid. Israel maintains overarching control over Gaza, including over the movement of people and goods, territorial waters, airspace, the infrastructure upon which Gaza relies, as well as the registry of the population. This leaves Gaza’s population, which Israel has subjected to an unlawful closure for 16 years, almost entirely dependent on Israel for access to fuel, electricity, medicine, food, and other essential commodities.

After the imposition of a “total blockade” on Gaza on October 9, Israeli authorities resumed piping water to some parts of southern Gaza on October 15 and, as of October 21, allowed limited humanitarian aid to arrive through the Rafah crossing with Egypt. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on October 18 that Israel would not allow humanitarian assistance “in the form of food and medicines” into Gaza through its crossings “as long as our hostages are not returned.”
