I haven’t seen Lightyear but I’m guessing they touch on some topics that are more complex than adoption.

Like… here’s a kid with no parents. Here are some adults who want to be parents but can’t. So we match them up. Now the kid has parents, and the adults are parents.

It’s not complicated.

Meanwhile… it’s sci-fi. I’m sure they talk about warp engines or ship thrust or gravity wells or something more complex than adoption.
