This was created by Reddit user /u/JohnKFisher, and I think it’s a neat uncluttered guide for all Star Trek that’s especially useful for newbies.
Shouldn’t this start with 3.5 billion years Ago: TNG All Good Things…?
An actual chronological edit of all star trek would be fun, opens with two scenes of Picard yelling at Q in the mud, jump forward to data hanging out with Mark Twain, then the Guardian of forever and Enterprise fighting Time travelers in WW2. then you have the DS9 Crew messing around in Roswell NM, then the events of the Journey Home.
I’m probably missing a few.
Voyager was present at the big bang, also thanks to Q, so that’s got to be your first scene. This would be a massive undertaking, but a lot of fun to see.
Oh man, I didn’t know I wanted that 😂. It would be an absolute mess to anyone who’s not a pretty diehard fan. Amazing.
EDIT: A random clip of Archer and Daniels on the Ent-J after the Picard finale and before
DSC S3.EDIT 2: Actually before the Doctor wakes up in Living Witness.
A golden oldie that keeps on updating: https://thestartrekchronologyproject.blogspot.com/2009/09/and-now-conclusion.html
I love the website layout so much lmao
Y’know, part of me hopes they never explain “Calypso” and just let it persist as this weird mystery.
Since I don’t see it mentioned anywhere, it looks like the abbreviation ST is for the Short Treks.
I like how you only finish Enterprise in between so many later season episodes of Voyager and Deep Space Nine.
It’s neat but chronological seems like a psychotic way for someone new to Star Trek to get into it lol
ENT then STD, yikes.
I agree it’s bad if it’s the first time you’ve watching Star Trek. But it’s a reasonable experience if you are watching it for the second time though.
Currently watching it in chronological order with my partner for the 1st time, just got to season 4 of ENT, shit is getting crazy in the Temporal Wars.
*DSC or DIS
MBS! It’s the Michael Burnham Show!
nah
It’s interesting, but I don’t think viewing order has to be chronological. If someone is adamant about watching everything, I’d recommend they go by production order.
This is true for pretty much any franchise. If you’re going to watch it all, you can’t go wrong with release order. That way you have the same context that original viewers did, and what the writers likely had in mind.
That doesn’t mean TOS the best starting point for newcomers, though, since they’re probably not committed to thousands of hours of Trek right out of the gate. They’re gonna bail if they don’t like the first few episodes they watch.
