10 years ago my wife brought me to NC to visit her best friend. On the 2nd day there her friend took us to a party and introduced us to her best friend.
My wife’s spirit was crushed and she hasn’t forgotten that moment for a second.
Oh yeah discovered that in elementary school and it holds true to this day, I’m none of my best friends best friend
I think that’s fine. I have a lot of friends and I doubt I’m any of their “best” friend.
I think it’s okay with being content with who I am to others and I don’t need to be #1 to any of my friends. I’m their “gaming friend”, “drinking friend”, “nerd friend” … I don’t need to be their “best friend”
I hope my friends’ best friend is their spouse/partner. Because mine is and it’s the best.

Best part about uni was learning that school is a pond where you are forced to stay. Then you go out and you can go to places where people like you hang out and make friends. For geeks, uni is great.
