The full-body restraint device known as the WRAP has become a harrowing part of deportations for some immigrants.
The Associated Press identified multiple examples of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers using the black-and-yellow full-body restraint device on deportation flights.
What do ICE and DHS say?
ICE and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security would not answer detailed questions from the AP and refused a request for the government’s policy for when and how to use the WRAP.
Nobody cares what ICE or DHS says 'cause all they do is lie.
And America wonders why nobody wants to vacation there anymore.
Vacation?

It’s when foreigners come to America to bask in our Freedom. We don’t need it because we’re already here and awash in so much Freedom already.

The cruelty is the point.
I don’t know why people think ice using this is strange because many local police departments in the USA have been using this thing for decades for anyone even slightly unruly. It’s supposed to be a last resort mechanical restraint if someone is a true danger but if you watch those youtube bodycam videos you’ll regularly see them throw this out as a threat and use it retributively when someone pisses them off. Of course ice would also use it and would likely use it in even worse ways
If they had this in The Handmaid’s Tale, half of their great escapes would have been thwarted from the get go.
