Why are they using golf balls in what is clearly egg-boiling instructions?

If those degrees were Fahrenheit, the unity would be there. They are clearly angle degrees. Please, keep the water level inclined by that amount against the horizontal.

Those are the instructions for egg boiling when looking from the top. They have no relation with aureola, pig, or whatever.

And the later ones are instructions for egg boiling under pressure.
