    You’re forgetting the 4th one.

Wesley Crusher: Jack Crusher was actually replaced by a surgically-altered Cardassian spy whose goal was to incriminate Picard by secretly impregnating his wife with Picard’s DNA, making it seem like they were cheating on him. Wesley is actually Picard’s child, thus why he’s so weird around Wesley.

    (We love you anyway, Wes!)

Twist. It ends up boring because they just overcome the antagonists through sheer numbers.

Double twist: 89% of the Riker offspring are taken out of the action at a pivotal moment when they get Naked Time’d and start banging each other.

Technically correct is the best kind of correct right?

How about this alternative with Burnham’s many mothers instead of Picard’s many sons

Wesley is absolutely Picard’s biological son, he got away with so much shit. He’s Picard’s weakness, he has to let him do shit on the bridge that no one else would ever be allowed. The emotional core of “Generations” was Picard’s need for family and a sense of legacy, in spite of being on the road all the time. You reveal a lil secret like that, you can tapdance on The Chair if you want. It’s relatable, there were so many TNG episodes about dealing with the family you have vs. the one you wish you had.

Gaius Baltar really fucked Jean Luc up as a little kid. He never wanted kids after that, but he did fall in love with Beverly Crusher, except she became the wife of his best friend.

When his best friend died and left behind a ready-to-go family, he started to have a very difficult mix of emotions, which culminated in all of his complex behaviors toward Wesley.

I’ll allow it cause Jack Crusher was cool, unlike what they did to Bev and her personality.
