I know lots of people who have had cancer and no ones lost their house.

Right, deer in the populated areas of north America have no preditors any more. So that population needs to be controlled. In the city and county i live in there are bow hunting programs in the parks since there aren’t many places you could hunt otherwise. If not disease and cars are what would control it. Thats led then ideal. Plus if you don’t want the meat there are programs to donate it to shelters.
My point here was for deer, deer in much of the US have no more natural predators. Hunters help fill that roll or else it’s disease, starvation, and cars that fill it.
So starvation to control the population instead of hunting, got ya. What if the predators prey is plants? More predators => less plants => less predators => more plants?
Looks like only the 20th time in the last 123 or so years
So only people that live in large dense cities voice’s count. Got it.
Not true, heres the county map from 2016. https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2016_Presidential_Election_by_County.svg
I get it, but then only like 4 counties in the whole country decide an election.
No, because someone would remove all the carbon and all the plants world die.
Sweet, honest question == downvotes. Classic Lemmy
Wasn’t that ruling only for POTUS? Like if Biden drone striked a caravan of terrorists and it took out a US civilian on accident he’s not facing murder charges.
Yep, like the stories from 9-11 where people were going back up the stairs because they forgot to turn their computer off.
So you’re ignoring this part of fascism? “forcible suppression of opposition”
Isn’t that the definition of a fascistic dictator?
I think that’s a little unfair of a comparison. The average house price in the US is $495k. The average house price in Ohio is $273k. Let’s take Brooklyn for example. In the 80’s houses were cheap in comparison to today. Ohio in the 80’s were probably on par for what they are today. There was no silicon valley in the 80’s. You didn’t have as much of the super rich mega mansions back then. So yeah, it’s going to sway the numbers.
This is going to be unpopular, and I will accept the down votes. Also, I will never support Trump or any of his lackies. However, those on this forum believe that she is writing that as “finish them” towards the Palestinians, when in actuality I bet she’s writing that as “finish them” towards hamas. That doesn’t excuse anything. Just stating that they believe they are killing terrorists. They are just ignoring the innocent. Good intentions don’t justify this though let me make that very clear.
If you took half of all the billionaires wealth in the US it would be worth 1 year of IRS tax revenue. Or two year’s of our deficit. Then what?
Right now Billionaires don’t have money just lying around to pay taxes with, it’s tied up in owned business, properties, stocks, etc. I know, this is a part of the internet that just wants to eat the rich, I’m not one of them. They are just playing the game. The problem is the government allows them to play the game in such a way that is able to make them a lot more money. The problem is, the rules the government has made allows this to happen. If you drastically simplify the tax code, like to be one paragraph and eliminate the loop holes, it will settle itself out. The only way to do that though is to replace every person in Washington because they are taking advantage of it as well.
Yes the Bill of Rights are specifically what the government can not do to / take away from you. They are individual rights and liberties.
