Perhaps it makes more sense to have an extension that checks that the served javascript is correct? That should be a very simple, basic extension that doesn’t increase the attack surface much. Users who care to verify the code can use that and everyone else can live with the convenience.

For sure, they’re rigged, there’s no opposition and the outcome is already set. But they’re also part of the political theatre, maintain an appearance of normalcy and crush hope for change among other things. The Russian government puts enough effort into the elections to indicate that they matter to them.

All those things are things Ukraine has tried or is trying. Unmanner vehicles are mainly used for frontline logistics, but some with machine guns have held positions that infantry couldn’t. Drones appear to be useful in pretty much any situation, but infantry is still needed for taking/keeping control of terrain. Tanks are well suites for assaults, even with drones buzzing arround, but again with the support of infantry and all those other things you mentioned. It seems that war had changed quite a bit, but everything still revolves around infantry.

Vivaldi is extremely bloated, and the syncing doesn’t sync a lot of settings and often stops working altogether. But despite that, it’s still the best browser I know.

I really wish they had options to turn off all the bloat (e.g. email, vpn, password manager, notes, translate, etc.). I think you’re not understanding the point I’m making which is that it’s up to Ukraine to show that there indeed is a difference between the two cases. If only a few shelves in the warehouse are for potential military use then it might come awefully close to the nuking Moscow example. If half the warehouse is for military use, it’s obviously a valid target.

The argument of whether it’s needed or not for civilian use is pointless. There are private individuals in the USA and UK who own whole ass main battle tanks just for the fun of it. There are enough people out there who want to buy the real combat thing for that reason…

I find it quite suprising that Ukraine hasn’t managed to present quantitative proof that the attacks on civilian warehouses are justified from a purely military perspective. It can’t be that hard to show that say 1+% of the products fall in the military/dual use category, right?
