I love how the article refers to Bolton as “famous war enjoyer”. I hope that catches on.

And still Trump supporters tell me that Trump is the anti-war candidate and the Democrats always start wars. I guess they will blame the war with Iran on Biden, even though Trump pulled out of the Iran deal, antagonized the Palestinians, and did his best to start a war by assassinating generals. Let’s not forget Bolton’s “I’ll celebrate with you in Tehran” speech.
I think it was 5 to 6 that was a really tough one for me because we had an in-house state management library that broke with the major breaking changes to RxJS. After that was pretty much no issue all the way from 6 to 17.
I wouldn’t be a huge fan of taxing unrealized gains if we hadn’t been cutting taxes for the rich for 50 years. How else are we ever going to recover from that? These guys COULD have done the right thing and supported sensible taxation policies, but they didn’t, so fuck 'em. At this point it’s either this or the guillotine.
Democrats: “let’s pass some reasonable reforms to temper the ill effects of deregulated capitalism”
Republicans: “that’s socialism and you’re a Marxist!”
Youth: “we want reform so I guess we like socialism!”
Republicans: “the radical left is indoctrinating our kids!”
This is the kind of thing that both parties should be able to agree on, anyone defending this ridiculous system is likely some kind of corporate shill.
Having a federal website to file has been a great step in the right direction. What’s preventing us from going further? Oh, Republicans think it’s anti-business because then TurboTax can’t make their billions, got it.
So selfless
Hmm, it sounds like you need to use something like Calibre to export all your books to a single standard format.
The rich are going to get to the “find out” stage one way or the other. Do I generally like a wealth tax? No. Do I think it’s needed now because Republicans fucked up our country with repeated tax cuts for the rich over 60 years that we would never otherwise recover from? Yes.
This is such a bad move for his campaign, this is going to force her to release a statement, if she doesn’t sue.
She probably wasn’t going to endorse any candidate since that’s the smart move as an entertainer… but I wouldn’t be surprised if she just endorses Harris very publicly now to get ahead of any stain on her reputation.
Same here, even with all the BS around Twitter and his political views… I WAS still considering a Tesla, but with the pro-Trump PAC and the deep fakes on Xitter it’s just another level of bullshit.
Hoping he gets forced out in the next year because I also don’t want to buy from a dealership, which doesn’t leave me a lot of options for an EV.
It has been working out fine for the greedy so far, but is that really sustainable in the long term? At some point if greed isn’t checked, there WILL be violence.
We’re talking about people that believe Joe Biden has “open border” policies and that Democrats are performing abortions after birth.
I’d assume they believe every word.
As much as I like John Stewart, I think one of the big issues with Trump was that he and his administration were totally unqualified for their jobs. Let’s not stoop to their level and put up someone who has never held public office.
Detecting if your employees are having trouble doesn’t sound that terrible, The issue is that instead of getting them help from another employee they are doing some useless BS.
It seems like this system is designed to limit a corporation’s liability for hostile work environments that are created by a combination of corporate negligence and shitty customers.
My understanding is that immunity for official acts WOULD cover an airstrike on Trump, or a death squad assassination.
But that possibly the speech in front of the capital where he said “we’re going to go fight like hell to take our country back” is most likely NOT an official act? Maybe they could hold him accountable for that since it was NOT communication with one of his departments?
Interested in any clarification anyone can offer.
I instance blocked lemmy.ml because of mods deleting my comments. I don’t want to accidentally get involved in discussions and spend time writing comments for them to just be deleted because the mods don’t agree with me.
Took a peek in worldnews recently and yeah it’s bad. I don’t remember it being so bad the last time Gaza was bombed. It’s like they cleaned out worldnews for the IPO or something.
Is it possible that the Democrats’ hands are tied because the American public supports Israel and AIPAC has successfully primaried several progressive politicians?
I think they’re in a tough spot politically, the left seems to think that support for Israel will cost the Democrats elections, but there’s more evidence that if they do NOT support Israel strongly enough, it will cost them elections.
