Prepared seems like it’d be very easy to confuse with adventures. They mirrored it so the permanent’s text is on the left instead now, but the style looks really similar still.

Also, the prepared spell being an existing, standalone spell might make it a bit confusing to know which physical card someone’s referring to when they say, for example, “Rampant Growth” to refer to a card.

Does anyone know if you can cast Rampant Growth from hand? If so, this feels like a very direct upgrade to the original Rampant Growth card (with rare exceptions). I’m guessing you can’t do that just because it would invalidate the original cards almost entirely.

Edit: okay holy crap they’re not letting you cast Ancestral Recall from hand. I’m going to assume that, anyway.

Anyway, this mechanic seems like something that could be really interesting. It reminds me of Garth One-Eye in a weird way. It could be a cool way to bring cards from other formats back without needing to reprint them directly.
