My mindset and reactions became much better when I came to the realization that “everything is mostly good” is the temporary state to be recognized and enjoyed while you have it, and the inevitable “something bad is happening you need to address” is the default state of life.

On a good day when you look around and know you’ve got a cupboard full of food, decent housing, you’re not injured or ill, and no immediate urgent responsibilities in the next 12 to 24 hours, you so very much appreciate it. You know life is going to come at you again, even if you don’t know what form its going to take.

When the life does throw the next thing at you, its not a surprise. It was entirely expected as you’ve now returned to the default state. Its never a “why is this happening to me?!”. The trials of life are the normal state, not something to melt down about.
