This copypasta/meme always kind of makes me feel awkward, on the one hand I guess you could kinda say it’s good to raise awareness about the criminalization of homosexuality, but it feels a little ghoulish to use it like the punchline to a joke. I’m guessing most of the people here are lucky enough where, yeah, our parents can throw us out and make us homeless, but at least we won’t get executed by the state for being who we are, there are real people out there who really are criminals just for being themselves, it feels wrong to joke about.

Honestly, I think stone age people cared less about that, if you helped your tribe bringing food in the cave. Finding somebody to love as well in your small community would have been statistically more difficult however.
Proof that you have no idea how far we’ve come in just a couple of decades. Perspective isn’t only available to us olds, but being old does help.
