Smol beanification of porky strikes yet again.
“It wasn’t me? It was compooper UwU!”
First rule of leadership, everything is your fault. We figured this out in the 70s. Don’t use computers to make decisions because computers can’t be held accountable.
Oh, it was the computers fault? Cool, who owns the computer. Oh you? Cool still your fault, suck my balls.
AI has done jack shit except allow companies to cut workers and pass the workload onto remaining employees who do the same work without more pay and at a lower quality. Workers have not resisted this because they are not organised and without organisation they can’t even see they’re being lied to.
Exactly. This AI shit is just a stick to punish labor. At the levels they’re talking about, it has no other function accept to increase exploitation, not increase productive efficiency.
so the “job creators” aren’t doing their job and should be fired?

CEOs are now openly telling investors: AI allows them to do more with fewer people.
citations needed obviously, but this is the most textbook Keynesian example of a reason to reduce work hours that has ever happened
They’re telling investors that, but studies paint a different picture https://www.cxtoday.com/workforce-engagement-management/businesses-are-still-struggling-to-see-roi-benefits-from-ai-investment-ibm-and-teradata-discover/

It’s 100% going to be used to justify it and then they’ll blame workers for not getting non-AI-replacable jobs.
Yep. Already pretty much lost my 20s because I lost a game of Simon says with porky on what to major in, can’t wait to blow my 30s trying again with a master’s!
I’m going back to school for my masters in prompt engineering.

guess where “ai” “happened” on this graph of productivity per hour
Not the most depressing long COVID graph I’ve seen this year, but definitely top 6.
