“Any country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of BRICS, will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10% tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy,” Trump wrote on social media.

    Which is not just morally horrible (which should be the end of it), it’s economically horrible. It’s very unsustainable, will plunge the working class into debt (and then into debt peonage, most likely) and then the market goes kaboom and there’s no guarantee that the world bails out the US again.
